Yesterday this completely random person (I am serious. He was random. You don’t believe me! I know I overuse the word. BELIEVE ME!!!!!) asked me if I would rather die in a car crash or an air plane crash, or a boat crash. I said I would rather die in a car crash so that I would’nt be surrounded by shreiking people in my last moments. But, it doesn’t really matter as long as I broke something important and was able to say some last words that someone could hear before I died.
About my last post: I AM SO SORRY TO HAVE MADE SO MANY TYPOS IN MY LAST POST!!!!! I’m so SO sorry. You know– I really am a world-class speller. In first grade, I won a spelling bee against second graders. My winning word was wealthy. I won a marble (I’m calling on my common school friends to endorse this…).
OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY !
GUESS WHAT?!?!?!?!?
I had African dance on Wednesday. I had African dance on Thursday!! TWO DAYS IN A ROW!!!woohoo!!! On Thursday, we danced from 4:15 pm to 7:00 pm!!! Dancing for so long is complete and utter heaven. Also, we are memorizing a very long poem, AND drumming at the SAME TIME that we recite it!!! I’m so excited!!! In fact, I’ll write the poem out now (lines separated by /):
A revolution of love in six eight./ This revolution is for life./ This revolution is about everyone./ This revolution is about you./ This revolution neeeeds you./ Needs you to think. Needs you to think. Needs you to think./ This revolution is about the day/ When any child can walk/ from any place in the world/ to any place in the world/ and be safe./ Welcome.—- Fed./ This revolution needs you./ Put down your weapons./ Put down your weapons./ Put down your weapons of destruction./ Raise your truth./ Raise up your truth./ Truth is/ we got to get together./ Truth is/ we got to free our minds./ Truth is/ love—- is all there is./ Revolution/ is love/ is all there is./ Love is all there is./ We got to raise/ our truth,/ and steer this ship to love./ This revolution/ is about the day/ when everyone wakes up,/ goes to work for love.—— Only love./ Love is all there is./ A revolution in six eight love… changes the way you reeeeaaach………out. (singing) bodi bo sidiewahh. bodi bo seeng!
We drum on the dunduns in between the lines. Isn’t it a beautiful poem??? They cut some bits…. my favorite part that they cut is this:
Faith is a ship/ We got to raise our truth,/ sails on this ship/ and steer this ship to love.
Oh well.
Thin about the poem. It’s so powerful if you just think about the power of words… OH speaking of words… never mind. I’ll tell you in the next post. It’s sooo hilarious!!
