My dear braces

Yay. I did it. Three weeks ago on Wednesday, I got braces. BRACES!!!!! They have purple rubberbands… I really don’t like them at all, except for when it comes to self-defence: then, and only then, i can bite an attacker so their skin shreds. But let’s not talk about that, OK?

OK. Did you know that every time you touch your head you lose 8 weak brain cells? That hippo sweat is red (I’ve told you countless times, right?)? That there are more television sets in the USA than there are people in the UK? (horrible, I know.)

Oh dear, now I must fly. For some STRANGE reason, I need to clean up. *retch* more later.

50, balloon, shows, hot tubs and ‘pajamas’, spacers and nickel-titanium archwires.

Hi universe. How are you??? I’m fine and terrible.

On Friday, my dad turned 50. We gave him 50 presents and my mom took him to a ballroom dancing class while I stayed home and babysat 4 people while planning my summer theatre thing (I admit! We did have to nitpick a little bit about the 50 presents. We did use hallowe’en candy, and we did wrap each pair of socks seperately!).

THEN, on Saturday (still for his 50th), we went up in a hot air balloon for 3 hours!!!! We went to 2400 feet!!!!! AND, we went to high it was snowing up. Isn’t that awesome?!?! It was a much better view than an airplane, because you can’t touch the tops of trees with an airplane, and you can’t slowly drift around in an airplane. Also, you can see a little but more detail from a balloon. Like running cows. Also, when we were over the woods, we got to spit over the edge of the basket (I didn’t though, I was so cold my mouth was dry)! It looked cool….. IT WAS SO FABULOUS. In case you were wondering (which I’m SURE you were– riiiiight??)

THEN, we went to Amherst High School to usher for the Valley Light Opera production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Gondoliers! When I was there, I saw one of my friends who was playing in the orchestra, and one of my other friends who had decorated jeans that had two letters, that were reversed and stuff like that haveing to do with hot tubs.

Then on Sunday, I had a rehearsal for Beauty and the Beast, where I met the hot tub reversed reversed pajama guy. He has nice hair. It was very interesting.

Yesterday I got spacers. They are still murdering my head. Tomorrow I’m getting top braces with nickel-titanium archwires so I don’t need a palate expander. Oh joy

Fascinating things you really don’t need to know

Yesterday this completely random person (I am serious. He was random. You don’t believe me! I know I overuse the word. BELIEVE ME!!!!!) asked me if I would rather die in a car crash or an air plane crash, or a boat crash. I said I would rather die in a car crash so that I would’nt be surrounded by shreiking people in my last moments. But, it doesn’t really matter as long as I broke something important and was able to say some last words that someone could hear before I died.

About my last post: I AM SO SORRY TO HAVE MADE SO MANY TYPOS IN MY LAST POST!!!!! I’m so SO sorry. You know– I really am a world-class speller. In first grade, I won a spelling bee against second graders. My winning word was wealthy. I won a marble (I’m calling on my common school friends to endorse this…).

OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY !

GUESS WHAT?!?!?!?!?

I had African dance on Wednesday. I had African dance on Thursday!! TWO DAYS IN A ROW!!!woohoo!!! On Thursday, we danced from 4:15 pm to 7:00 pm!!! Dancing for so long is complete and utter heaven. Also, we are memorizing a very long poem, AND drumming at the SAME TIME that we recite it!!! I’m so excited!!! In fact, I’ll write the poem out now (lines separated by /):

A revolution of love in six eight./ This revolution is for life./ This revolution is about everyone./ This revolution is about you./ This revolution neeeeds you./ Needs you to think. Needs you to think. Needs you to think./ This revolution is about the day/ When any child can walk/ from any place in the world/ to any place in the world/ and be safe./ Welcome.—- Fed./ This revolution needs you./ Put down your weapons./ Put down your weapons./ Put down your weapons of destruction./ Raise your truth./ Raise up your truth./ Truth is/ we got to get together./ Truth is/ we got to free our minds./ Truth is/ love—- is all there is./ Revolution/ is love/ is all there is./ Love is all there is./ We got to raise/ our truth,/ and steer this ship to love./ This revolution/ is about the day/ when everyone wakes up,/ goes to work for love.—— Only love./ Love is all there is./ A revolution in six eight love… changes the way you reeeeaaach………out. (singing) bodi bo sidiewahh. bodi bo seeng!

We drum on the dunduns in between the lines. Isn’t it a beautiful poem??? They cut some bits…. my favorite part that they cut is this:

Faith is a ship/ We got to raise our truth,/ sails on this ship/ and steer this ship to love.

Oh well.

Thin about the poem. It’s so powerful if you just think about the power of words… OH speaking of words… never mind. I’ll tell you in the next post. It’s sooo hilarious!!

A revolution of love in six eight./ This revolution is for life./ This revolution is about everyone./ This revolution is about you./ This revolution neeeeds you./ Needs you to think. Think about it.
