Today I am particularly upset at the marketing media:

If you just so happen to look at the mandatory advertisement on the left (don’t look!), that keeps my blog free, and it happens by unlucky chance that you are confronted by “Are You A Good Kisser?” or “Get A Free IPod!”, please PLEASE ignore them.

First, the kisser one is rather disturbing, and the IPod ads are either always hoaxes or they ask for your credit card number, presumably to siphon out tiny amounts of money from your account. There is one particular IPod advertisement that requires you to have five friends enter thier credit card numbers. This one works, but only if you are willing to spent hours trying to convince your friends that you won’t sneak money out of thier accounts. Or if you’re in college and you have no money and your only outlet is music.

I, for one, am devoutly opposed to owning an IPod. First, there is the disadvantage of having music (or shouting, or noise) booming long-term into your head. Look, I’m a music lover. I have nothing against music… But IPods…NO!!! I cannot stand them. Actually, it’s most likely that the main reason I detest IPods is that they are a FAD. That’s why I shun Harry Potter, besides the fact that the movies (wich I have never seen, nor ever will), are all cast WRONG! OK, you can leave now if i’m bothering you going against common reason… No, wait! Don’t go! I havn’t finished my torrent of anger against the marketing media!!!

Alright, why do companies think that they need naked (or semi-nude) figures to help themselves sell? Here is an article I read while I was at the first peak of my Abercrombie and Fitch boycott. It’s way too long to put here so you HAD BETTER go visit the website. Infact, I have just activated a thing that will show me how many of my visitors look at the article!

Abercromie and Fitch (AC) is selling by giving thier customers bags depicting semi-nude models. WHAT HAPPENED TO WOMEN’S SUFFERAGE!!??!!!! PRIDE!!!!??? It’s the end of the world.
